A letter of application should create enough interest to make the potential employer want to look at your application in greater detail by reading your CV and hopefully invite you for an interview. It should not contain too much detail about your experience and qualifications because that is the job of the CV. |

As you can see from my resume, I am a French major and Spanish minor and I am very interested in a position where I can use my knowledge of languages. I have worked as an office temporary for the past three summers and some of my assignments where in the banking field. I am proficient in several software packages including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and would be willing to use these skill in an administrative capacity, as long as there would be an opportunity to move into a more challenging role once I have proven my capabilities and value to the organization.
